The Triduum is a worship service (liturgy) that takes place over three evenings—Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. In this three-day liturgy we recount the events of Jesus’ final hours, including a last supper with his friends, his arrest, his trial, and his crucifixion. Then, after recounting God’s saving activity in the past, we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection. The Triduum provides the context and sets the stage for, and spills over into, the joy of Easter morning.
