There’s always something happening at Good Shepherd.
The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd strives to extend Christ’s own radical hospitality to everything we do. Whether it’s an upcoming meeting, special service or noteworthy event, we work to build and strengthen relationships with one another and share the joy of life in community. Below is just some of what’s happening.
If you're planning an event at Good Shepherd, spread the word about your “happening” by telling us the details here.

 | Angel Tree Giving
Sunday, November 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM |
Though there are no angels on a tree this year, giving is still what we are called to do for people in need. In that spirit during November, winter gloves, hats, and socks will be gratefully received and later handed out at the Grace Meal in December. No wrapping is necessary. Though we still encourage donations for both women, and children, the biggest need is collecting those items for men.

Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 4:00 PM |
This popular ensemble follows the path first laid down in the smoky mill and mining towns of mid-nineteenth century Britain. Gradually evolving into a fixed instrumentation of 28 players (and 1 conductor), the brass band flourished under the sponsorship of mill and mine owners bent on “moral and spiritual uplift,” thus laying the ground- work for a later time when the Salvation Army began capitalizing on the success of the bands by establishing brass bands as part of their outreach through music.
