Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd | Little Shepherds Worship

Starting November 30, 2025, join us each Sunday at 9:00 am for a worship service designed for children to actively participate!

We love having children in our regular worship service, but have heard the difficulties parents face when trying to take their children to those services. Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd is excited to offer a new experience for children. This worship service is designed for children from birth to about age 8, along with their families. It includes the most important parts of our regular liturgy:

All parts of the traditional worship service at a child’s level — confession, songs, scripture readings, a message, prayers, peace, and Communion.
Opportunities for children to actively participate, serving in positions such as Processional Cross bearer, servers for bread and wine at Communion, readers and ushers.
Families worship with their children. If your child wants to dance in the aisle, you don’t need to consider whether they are disturbing others.
Brief lessons about the liturgical seasons and aspects of the liturgy.

We anticipate a length of about 30 minutes. This worship service will begin on the first Sunday in Advent, November 30, at 9:00 am.
